The Washington Examiner (8/10, Leonard) reports the Trump Administration on Thursday gave insurers three more weeks to submit ACA premium rate requests, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The original deadline was pushed back to September 5 as “insurers are waiting to find out what will happen to [the cost-sharing reduction subsidies] they have been receiving under the law.” The CMS memo indicated that uncertainty over whether the payments would continue, saying, “At this time, there have been no changes regarding the Department of Health and Human Service’s ability to make cost-sharing reduction payments to issuers.”
