The Washington Post (11/6, Eilperin) reports enrollment “has surged compared to the past,” according to an unnamed official at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, who said over 200,000 had chosen a plan on the first day, which the Post says is “more than double” last year’s first day. The Administration has not released official figures yet, and these numbers would only be for states in which the federal health insurance exchange is used.
