USA Today (9/18, Collins) reports that it remains unclear if the sponsors of the latest ACA repeal bill will have enough votes to pass it. On Monday, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said “Senate leaders have asked the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office to produce an expedited analysis of” the measure. The agency is expected to release a preliminary analysis by early next week. The article says this proposal “would keep much of the Obamacare tax structure in place, but it would give the money back to the states in the form of block grants so they can design their own health care systems.”
