The Obamacare repeal and replace discussion seems to have died down the past few weeks and most Americans may be under the impression that the GOP has given up on any chance of accomplishing this unrealized promise of the Trump Administration.  However, it looks like that discussion may heat up again for at least the next few weeks according to the Associated Press.  The AP (9/1) reported that Senate Republicans are running out of time to use reconciliation to repeal the Affordable Care Act because Elizabeth MacDonough, the Senate parliamentarian, said the “rules governing the effort will expire when the fiscal year ends Sept. 30.” The article added, “The rules allow Republicans to dismantle President Barack Obama’s health care law with just 51 votes, avoiding a filibuster.” The AP said that this ruling is probably “the final nail in the coffin, since it means Republicans would have to revive the effort and wrap it up in just a few weeks.”
