NAHU (10/27/17) Senate Finance Committee Chairman and 2015 NAHU Spirit of Independence winner Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) announced a legislative proposal on Tuesday that would temporarily fund the ACA's cost-sharing reduction (CSR) program and eliminate penalties for the individual and employer mandates. The proposal is designed to be a Republican-led alternative to the bipartisan package offered by Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Patty Murray (D-WA) that would also temporarily fund the CSR program.
