The Hill (6/5, Bolton) reports that GOP senators were skeptical about the prospects for an ACA repeal bill when they left for the recess, and they are returning “more doubtful than ever.” For instance, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), “said Thursday it’s ‘unlikely’ the GOP will get a healthcare deal.” He warned that a comprehensive ACA repeal measure was unlikely by year’s end. The article says Senate GOP lawmakers had “hoped to have a draft bill this week, but it now looks like that will at best be an outline” of parameters.
