Group Health Insurance

Group Life/AD&D

Offering group life/AD&D is an excellent way to provide a value benefit to your employees and their families.  Group Life/AD&D is affordable and offers guaranteed issue amount so employees who may be uninsurable on the individual market can secure coverage.  Plans can be designed in many ways including a flat amount, class benefits or a multiple of salary.

Short and Long Term Disability

STD and LTD are often times the most valuable benefit employees do not have.  Many employees do not have any savings or means to provide for themselves if they were to loose their paycheck.  STD and LTD can make the difference.  Benefits can start as early as one day after injury or illness and last up to normal retirement age (subject to group size, industry and enrollment).  In many situations, this benefit cost the employer nothing because there is a greater benefit when the employee pays the premium.

DBL or Statutory Disability

New York is one of a handful of states that require employers to provide disability benefits coverage to employees for an off-the-job injury or illness. Coverage for disability benefits can be obtained through a disability benefits insurance carrier who is authorized by the New York State Workers' Compensation Board to write such policies.  Disability benefits are temporary cash benefits paid to an eligible wage earner, when he/she is disabled by an off the job injury or illness.  Cash benefits are 50 percent of a claimant's average weekly wage, but no more than the maximum benefit allowed, currently $170 per week.  Many carriers offer a enhanced benefit up to 5x the standard benefit.
